Sixth Form - Gateway to a glittering future, on your doorstep!

Oxford and Cambridge are just two of the universities who will be receiving our students this year as once again our results demonstrate that Kirk Hallam Sixth Form is a great choice for post-16 education.

37% of those who left us in July and who are going on to do a degree, will be attending one of the Russell Group, top 24 universities in the UK.

This year 70% of our Year 13 applied to university and the successful applicants (sadly 4 students either withdrew or didn’t get the grades for their preferred choice) will all be excited about their move to university at the end of September and we’re pleased to see just how many different universities they will be attending and the huge variety of degree courses they will be studying, from Ancient History, through Biochemistry and Mathematics, to War and Society.

University isn’t for everyone and we’re equally pleased that those who haven’t applied to university have been able to progress with their preferred career option through either advanced apprenticeships or employment.

A-levels provide a brilliant foundation for most career paths and here at Kirk Hallam we (and Ofsted – Ofsted ‘Good’ rating, 2016) believe that our Sixth Form provides an excellent gateway to future success for our students.

There are still places left for those wishing to start A-levels in Year 12 this September. Either fill in an online application form here, or come along to Sixth Form Reception in the first couple of days of term and we can discuss your options.
