Great A-level Results

Students here are celebrating their A-level results and looking forward to making full use of the opportunities available to them following their success.

Always stressful at the best of times, many of the students this year were awaiting results from new, more rigorous A-level specifications. It has been reported in the national press that these new, untested qualifications have added to the anxiety normally experienced by A-level students and so there was relief all round when those collecting their results at Kirk Hallam discovered they had done so well.

Individual performances worth noting this year:

Bethany Clarke: A*, A*, A*, in Maths, Further Maths and Physics.

Luke Moore: A*, A*, A*, in Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths.

Ryan Pigott: A*, A*, A*,  in Geography, Maths and Further Maths.

Chloe Jackson: A*, A*, A in English Language and Literature, Law and Theatre Studies respectively.

Ryan Parkes: A, A, A in English Language and Literature, History and Philosophy and Ethics.

Adam Watson: A, A, A in Biology, Chemistry and Maths.

We are delighted that so many of our students have achieved or even bettered the grades they needed to allow them to progress, either into higher education, apprenticeships or employment. It is always satisfying to see diligence rewarded and our students and staff have worked very hard for these successes. We’re proud of them.
