Artist in Residence

Art students in Year 10 were lucky enough to spend a fantastic day with brilliant sculptural artist Philip Cox earlier this week.  Students have been working with the theme of the Animals and planned out weird and wonderful creatures to make into sculptures.

Philip demonstrated his techniques and showed students how to make 3D shapes from recycled cardboard. Combining different layers and textured surfaces everyone managed to create their own sculpture by the end of the day.

Thanks to Philip and all the Year 10 art students for making the day so successful. Students will use the work to enhance their GCSE Art portfolio.
